Experience the soul of the
Hautes-Pyrénées
Campground 1 km from Luz-Saint-Sauveur
In the heart of the Hautes-Pyrénées, in the Luz-Saint-Sauveur Valley, our 3-star campground welcomes you to Sassis, just 1 km from the lively town center. Here, your days begin to the sound of the mountain stream that runs alongside the campground, with your eyes raised toward the peaks of the Hautes-Pyrénées —a way to wake up like nowhere else. Whether you’re traveling with family, as a couple, or on your own, you’ll find the perfect balance here between recharging in the heart of nature and easy access to a variety of outdoor activities: hiking, biking, canyoning, and thermal baths… The valleys of Luz, Barèges, and Gavarnie await you as a life-size playground.
Our story is also the story of this region. The campground was founded over 60 years ago on a simple field next to the Sassis hydroelectric power plant, built in 1927, which supplies power to the entire valley. Since then, our family has passionately shaped this place, transforming it into a campground that combines natural pitches with comfortable rental accommodations, all in keeping with the warm and authentic spirit of the Pyrenees.
