Road Cycling and Mountain Biking

Hiking
The Hautes-Pyrénées invites you to explore its 3,000 km of marked trails and indulge in your favorite pastime: hiking! From our campground, numerous trails take you up to the peaks, deep into the heart of the Pyrenees National Park. Discover Château Sainte-Marie, the Napoleon Bridge, the Mensongé Waterfalls, the villages of Esquièze-Sère, Grust, Sazos, and Saligos, and the Gèdre Gorges.
Trail Running and Road Running
The Hautes-Pyrénées is the ultimate trail running destination. The Grand Raid des Pyrénées, which attracts up to 5,000 trail runners, is one of the most legendary and demanding ultra-trail events on the world circuit, passing through Luz-Saint-Sauveur, Gavarnie, and Barèges. But on a day-to-day basis, the trails of the Pays Toy offer exceptional training grounds for all skill levels: from jogging in the valley floor to technical climbs up to mountain passes and glacial cirques, including the wild stretches of the GR10. A unique playground, just minutes from our campground.
Horseback Ride
Are horses your thing? Make the most of your stay in the Pyrenees by going on a horseback ride in the mountains at Barèges, touring the Pays Toy valley, or exploring the Lienz Plateau. Another option: a pony ride forthe kids or a hike with a pack donkey along the trails of the Val d’Azun—a gentle and authentic way to experience the Pyrenean mountains.
Canyoning and Rafting
In the Hautes-Pyrénées, the Luz and Troumouse valleys are ideal for canyoning: Ossoue Canyon, Gloriettes Canyon, Héas Canyon… Your camping vacation will also give you the chance to try a variety of whitewater sports on the Gave de Pau: rafting, hydrospeed, canoraft, or canoeing and kayaking—thrills guaranteed for adrenaline junkies in the heart of the Pyrenees.
Trout Fishing
With 42 mountain lakes and 300 km of rivers, the Hautes-Pyrénées are a vast playground for all fly-fishing and spin-fishing enthusiasts. The angler’s holy grail? The famous Pyrenean brown trout! Tree-top Adventure Course

In Luz-Saint-Sauveur, the “En Chêne et Frêne” adventure park offers challenging and fun courses on a two-hectare wooded hill overlooking the Gave de Pau and the Pays Toy valley. Zip lines, suspension bridges, and activities for all ages: an ideal family outing for young and old alike, just a stone’s throw from our campground.
Paragliding
In Barèges, just 15 minutes from our campground, enjoy an unforgettable tandem paragliding experience over the Pyrenees. Accompanied by a certified instructor, you’ll soar over breathtaking landscapes: the UNESCO-listed Cirque de Gavarnie, the Pic du Midi de Bigorre (Pic du Midi), and the legendary Col du Tourmalet. A feeling of absolute freedom, accessible to everyone, even without any prior experience.
